Lincoln is never a stranger to exchange students, and this year is no different.
This year, Lincoln is welcoming a foreign exchange student from Brazil who will remain here for the 2017-2018 school year.
He is normal a senior but he has to be a grade below because he can't graduate from our school. He is an 17 year old male named Gesdavo. He said he joined the program to come over here so he can learn about the culture and to also better his English while he's here. Gesdavo said he really likes it here even though he only has been here for a week and a couple days. Even though he loves it here and has already made some new friends he still misses his friends from back home in Brazil and his family and all his favorite foods. He plays soccer and talk to the boys soccer coach and joined the team and is practicing with them. His host family Amanda Bennett he loves to play with the kids when he has free also playing guitar and video games. He had nothing but good things to say about his stay so far. He told us that at his school you can't have different subjects that they can't change they are the original ones for that year. Gesdavo seems to be enjoying it here and hopefully he loves his stay here in West Virginia!
