Lincoln high school volleyball team went to the MCM tournament over the weekend. They showed up to win big and to fight hard like a true cougar! The girls played the very first game of the tournament the cougars first opponents was liberty high school. From the start you could see the Lincoln cougars cam to play! The first game was won by yours truly the cougars with a final score of 27-25. Then the next match the cougars wanted to stop the mountaineers down in the begging and get a lead throughout the whole game which they did with only letting them score six points throughout the whole game to a final score of 6-25. The next team was the east Fairmont bees they weren't going down without a fight. They Did get the lead both matches like both of them everyone thought the cougars were gonna fall short because close to the end the score would be like 18-24 which means the bees only needed one more point to win but your all mighty cougars didn't like that so they fought back and ended up wining both matches against the bees. We might of fell short to the matches again New Hampshire and RCB but that didn't stop the volleyball team from making it to the semi-finals. In the end you lady cougars may have tied for 3rd place but I would be proud of the team they came to fight and fought hard all the way to the end. One senior caption Kaitlyn Barnard said "we may have came up short and ended up with third place but you could see how bad we wanted to win and we fought hard the whole time."
