This year Lincoln high school has the honor of hosting college and career night this year. It's normally held by RCB but not this year it's our turn. It will be held Thursday night October 26 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Some teachers give extra credit to kids who go. They are giving out three $500.00 Cash scholarships and Prizes, Door Prizes & Food It's a great experience you get a chance to talk to some great colleges and to people about a career that you are thinking about getting into and joining. All high school students and parents are welcome to come. They also give some great lecturers about the college they are representing or about the program they have if you are looking into a career. Some students have said that it's a really good thing that it gave them a chance to look and to get to know other colleges. It even helped some students come up with a plan B in case plan A doesn't work out. It has even directed students to the right path. It got other students who were looking into careers a chance to talk with other employers who have been doing the job and knows what it's like. It can even help you get your foot in the door with college places and work places. You have the chance to ask questions and learn more about what you already know and to learn some new things. Who knows you might come with a plan of going somewhere else or a career and leave with a different college or career in mind. Each representative with be able to give you a lot of knowledge and answer as many questions as they can for you. A lot of teachers think it's a good thing to go to and to check out. hopefully this year we have a get turnout.
