It is that time of year again. As the Holiday season quickly approaches, the Lincoln High School Faculty Senate is gearing up for their annual Angel Luv program for the 27th year in a row.
The Lincoln High School Faculty Senate heads the programs to ensure that kids in need in the Shinnston and Lumberport areas are provided with gifts for the Holiday season. Last year, over 380 kids were served and the Faculty Senate is expecting even more this year.
Parents or guardians wishing to sign up their children should call Lincoln High School at 304-326-7400 on November 1st, November 2nd, or November 3rd between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. They are reminded to have the following information ready before calling: their social security number, the child’s social security number, the child’s sizes, special requests for gifts, and the school the child attends. Also, please note that children over age 15 can only be served if they are enrolled in school.
Lincoln High School uses the social security numbers to ensure that they are not served by similar programs in the area, such as the Salvation Army Angel Tree. This is done to ensure that the maximum amount of children from all local areas enjoy their Holidays.
Students at Big Elm, Lumberport Elementary, Lumberport Middle and Lincoln High will receive information concerning the program as any child served must be a current student at one of the four local schools. Look for information to be sent home with the students.
Please look for further announcements about Angel Luv in the Shinnston News and Journal as the program progresses. Any questions can be directed to Jackie Boyles at 304-669-8661.
