This past Saturday the Lady Cougars played against Birdgeport to play against them. in the bottom of the fifth the cougars scored four runs for a 12-9 lead. After that they held on fir dear life to stay ahead of the Indians. Courtney Ramage had a good game of pitching that night. Coach Weaver says "I was really pleased with the way we were hitting the ball. I thought Gracey Lamm really hit it well and set the table for us." After the Indians scored five runs in the top of the fifth to take a 9-8 lead. The cougars came right back fighting hard with four runs in the bottom of the fifth. Alisha Evans led off the inning with a triple into right field corner and scored when Lamm legged out a double. Hannah Ferris followed, with her own double to score Lamm. The win clinched the second seed in the weeks up coming class AA sectional for the cougars.
