The school you extended

On the subject of 2018s school year, came along the talk of the teacher strike and the extension of the school year. To no surprise, the students in Lincoln High aren’t very happy with this change. Some students and staff members have considered it a “waste of time,” when they could’ve been working during spring break instead of staying an extra week at the end of the school year. A multiple subject computer teacher, Mrs. Loss, honestly replied to the issue that “it was not beneficial, and the staff and students are completely burnt out.” A student from Lincoln, Ashley McCullough, stated that she didn’t think that the teachers got as much out of (the teachers strike) as they wanted, so it wasn’t worth it in the end. A science teacher, Mrs. Hostuttler, and math teacher, Mrs. Jaco, both agreed with Mrs. Loss, and agreed with the drivers ed teacher, Mrs. Starkey, who said that the strike was “lousy, and a waste of time.” Hostuttler replied, that “all of us (students and staff) need a break because once summer starts, and I don’t have kids to teach, I get energized for the new year and generates more ideas for the year to come. And we aren’t getting quality work from anyone.”
