Sorine Named New Golf Coach

This year, the Lincoln golf team welcomed a new golf coach, Andy Sorine.

Coach Sorine replaced the former coach, Jim Crosby, and started in his new position this summer.

The golf team members seem pleased with the new hire. “He’s doing a wonderful job. He’s teaching us new techniques, and helping us get better and better every time we play," said senior Andrew Fleece.

Junior, Megan Boyce said of her new coach: “He’s really helping us improve every time we play, and he’s doing a really good job.”

When we asked Coach Sorine how he felt about coaching the golf team, he had this to say: “Coaching has always been my passion, and coaching at a high school level is really fun. Getting them ready to play at college is what I'm here for. It’s my passion and I'm really enjoying it.”

Coach Sorine is actually a familiar face to Lincoln even though he's new to the golf team. Sorine is the assistant basketball for the boys basketball team and a substitute that is often seen in our school.

It sounds like the golf team is in good hands this year. We hope Coach Sorine and his team have the best year.
