What exactly is DECA-FBLA?
Last year, Lincoln High School combined two different business organizations into one club!
FBLA stands for Future Business Leaders of America, while DECA doesn’t really have a name, and is just a group of letters.
The joint club is made up of freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors in high school, but there are also collegiate levels.
FBLA inspires and prepares students to become community-minded business leaders in a global society through relevant career preparation and leadership experiences. DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.
FBLA has 215,000 high school members, 11,000 college-level students, over 20,000 middle-level students, and 3,000 Professional Divisional members. DECA has more than 215,000 members throughout the 50 U.S. States, the District of Columbia, Canada, China, Germany, Guam, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Spain.
So, do you think you have what it takes?
This year’s DECA-FBLA club is still collecting applications for the 2018-2019 school year!
To apply for membership to Lincoln High School’s DECA-FBLA group, make sure you have recently taken a business course or are completing one now and see Mrs. Loss or Mrs. Yearego in rooms 134 and 135 for your green application.
The Lincoln High School DECA-FBLA chapter has the opportunity to go to New York City, NY, Orlando, FL, and San Antonio, TX.DE.
Look for an article in the near future describing what all DECA-FBLA did last year.
