Last night, the Lady Cougars traveled to Braxton County to take on the Lady Eagles. The JV started the night off and it began slow, falling to Braxton in the first set. The Cougars rallied back, but still came up short and took a loss from Braxton, making their JV season now 0-2. The Varsity started shortly after and remained close the whole way, but lost the first set 23-25. The Cougars quickly came back to win the second set, going back and forth, remaining close, and the Eagles came back to win the third set. In the fourth set, the Cougars fell early as the Eagles took a strong lead, but the girls came back from being down to defeat the Eagles. In the fifth and final set, the girls fought hard and grabbed an early lead, as the match went back and forth the Cougars were able to pull off a win in the end, defeating the Eagles 3-2 to make their season now 1-1.
