On September 18, there was an annual Student Council fundraiser called the Duck Race.
Student Council members were given 10 tickets to sell to parents and friends.
The tickets were $10 and they had to sell at least five to be able to go to Fall Convention at Jackson's Mill in Lewis County.
The race was at the Shinnston pool and they started at the top of the slide with all the ducks in the race. Then they release the ducks. They go down the slide and go into the water and travel to the other side of the pool and the one duck that reaches the end will win a thousand dollars.
The winner this year was Ally Maxwell of Lumberport.
