Meredith Sue Willis, who is an author from Shinnston, WV, visited Lincoln High School English classes to talk about her life as an author.
She told the classes that she was inspired by West Virginia, and she has over 20+ books. Some of her books you can find here in the library at Lincoln High.
She also held two author meet and greets while she was in: one in Shinnston was held at the Lowe Public Library, and one in Clarksburg was held at the Harrison Public Library.
When speaking to the classes here, she told students to describe someone they didn’t know with only their senses to give an idea of writing. She also explained she has to also have a day job because writing does not pay to fit her lifestyle.
The students thought it was neat to hear from an author that actually once lived where they now live.
