Lincoln played at their home field Tuesday night against Notre Dame’s soccer team.
The game would determine who would move on to play in the semifinals against RCB.
Keep in mind though that Lincoln’s boys soccer team hasn’t won a sectional game in six years; and six years ago, Lincoln’s boys soccer coach Ryan Gump was on that team. So it was really exciting for Gump to be a part of this again.
Lincoln wanted this win because they didn’t want this to be it for their seniors.
At the end of the first half, the score was 1-0 with Lincoln in the lead.
Somehow in the beginning of the second half, Notre Dame scored a very lucky shot off a corner.
Then Lincoln broke the tie and scored soon after that.
Lincoln would later score two more goals, winning the game with a score of 4-1.
Lincoln boys are so excited for this, and Justin Vance can’t wait to play Thursday, and maybe some more if they really want it.
