The Newspaper Staff is working to interview teachers and staff members at LHS so that our readers can see who their students spend their weekdays with all day at school.
Today's interview is of Mrs. Jaclyn Loss of the Business Department.
We asked Mrs. Loss:
What do you teach?
"I teach BCA 1 and 2 , Business Marketing Essentials, and Webpage Publishing."
Where are you originally from?
"I am from Fairmont; but if you want to get technical, I was born in Rock Springs, Wyoming. I moved to Shinnston my 7th grade year and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1995!"
Why did you choose teaching as a career?
"I love seeing that “Ah-ha” moment from my students. I don’t teach for the money. I teach because I want to make a difference in their lives."
What is your favorite memory from teaching?
"I love when students come back to see me after they graduate. I love hearing
about how they are doing and what they have accomplished."
What is your favorite grade to teach?
"Hmmm... not sure why, but I love teaching 10th and 11th grades the most."
What is your favorite class to teach?
"I would have to say Webpage Publishing."
