This past week, the county updated all school iPads. All Lincoln High School students were called into the library in an organized way to get their update to successfully work.
This update put the iPads on a better network and had some changes to them to help the county monitor them more closely.
One of the updates included was not being able to personalize the backgrounds. The Apple ID's were also taken off and some of the apps were removed. The App Store is now more convenient for students because you don't have to have an Apple ID.
Overall, the updates frustrated students, but it was required for the safety and better usage.
