Heading in to middle and high school is a scary situation we all will experience.
Those who are just starting in middle school or high school sometimes go in blindly.
As they don’t fully know what to expect in this new environment. So, to help them get the feel for things, I asked high school students for share some advice.
“Be involved. The more involved you are the more fun you will have in school.” Shared Macy Buck, a senior this year at Lincoln. “Stay on top of your grades, and don’t slack off. Your grades matter, and in the long run will earn you rewards.” Macy added.
Another senior, Hannah Loar, shared her advice to the younger students as well. “Don’t worry about what others think of you. Focus on yourself and your own future.” She says.
Lastly, I talked to Madison Clark who’s a junior this year at Lincoln. “Don’t expect your friends from elementary or middle school to be your friend later. Everyone changes. You’ll find new and better friends to hang out with.” Madison explained.
All of the advice given will come in handy to those entering their first years of middle or high school. As scary as it seems, I promise it won’t be that bad, and when it comes to an end you’ll miss it more than you think.
