A very familiar face in the community and school, Mrs. Hawkins is the assistant principal and athletic director here at Lincoln.
Mrs. Hawkins, as a teacher, used to teach at Lumberport Elementary until she became an assistant principal at Liberty High School.
She started teaching because of the teachers she had when she was younger and she “always loved to play school.”
She has been teaching for 26 years now and her favorite class to teach was fifth grade math.
Her favorite memories from teaching were both in fifth grade, and they were the field trip to Washington D.C. or the graduation ceremonies.
For college, Mrs. Hawkins went to FSU and her favorite classes were the education classes. She has been at Lincoln now for six years.
Outside of school, athletics take up a lot of her time.
