Mr. David Decker is our newest assistant principal at Lincoln.
Mr. Decker originally got into the education field because he was really interested in coaching and it was a way to get into it and he wanted to help people learn both with academics and sports.
This is his 13th year in education, and he has worked at six schools. He was a teacher at Lumberport Elementary, Lumberport Middle, and Big Elm Elementary. He was then part of the administration at Nutter Fort Intermediate and Salem Elementary before finally coming to Lincoln High School.
As a teacher, his favorite class to teach was fourth grade. His favorite memory of teaching is watching people develop and grow into successful people.
Mr. Decker went to Lincoln High School for high school, where his favorite classes were any history or social studies class. He attended college at Fairmont State and WVU.
He has been at Lincoln as Assistant Principal since last April.
