The holidays are all about spending time with family and friends. Families do many different traditions. Some common family traditions are Christmas caroling, setting up Christmas lights and decorations, wearing matching pajamas on Christmas Eve, building and decorating gingerbread houses, and sending out Christmas cards.
Here at Lincoln High School, students have many different traditions of their own. Baron Swiger, a junior, has a very fun tradition with his family. Every Christmas after they open their presents, they sit down at the table and have a family breakfast. They eat waffles, pancakes, eggs, fruit, and lots of bacon. They enjoy spending their morning together as a family. Manning Clark, a freshman, does many things with his family. They all set up their tree with lights and all the ornaments. They also have a fun time making different kinds of cookies to serve on Christmas Eve to the rest of their family. His dad's side of the family comes over and they enjoy spending times together and opening presents. Emily Kyle, a senior, enjoys going caroling with her family. They go out into the town together. On Christmas Day, they finish their holidays by having a Christmas Dinner with her family.
