Thoughts about tattoos!

As someone who has a tattoo, and plans to get more, I love seeing how others view them. It’s something people don’t tend to discuss until they consider getting one. This usually brings up the conversation of religion and other things with family members. Many of your family members have probably had the same conversations. Personally, I don’t see tattoos as something people need to hide or feel ashamed of for having. It’s your body, and I feel like you should choose what to put on it and what to do with it. I understand that the way some people view tattoos is due to their religion and other personal beliefs; even so, I don’t think that shaming those with tattoos is acceptable. Whether someone chooses to tattoo themselves or not, it’s none of our business. Tattoos can be a form of expression for someone, and it can be a way for them to remind themselves of a certain time in their lives. It’s really an art form, and I think tattoo artists are undervalued among society. They create art and place it on someone else’s body, and they give someone a chance to express themselves through this art. It’s so amazing to think about just how their artwork can permanently effect someone’s life, in a positive or negative way. Tattoos are art that are just simply seen in a negative way. I think society, after time, will grow to see this as well. Eventually, tattoos will be more common and more accepted among people. So, why not start by seeing just how incredible they are and how amazing the people are who create them?
