Madison Swiger, senior cheerleader, lives in Lumberport with her parents, Nicole and Richie Swiger.
Madison says Lincoln High School cheerleading has taught her discipline, hard work, and how to be a part of a team.
She added, "Since I’ve been cheering, these girls have become my family and I couldn’t ask for a better team. At first, it was super difficult balancing practice and school, but after a while you get used to it. Having practice everyday is exhausting but it does keep us all in shape and helps us understand what it’s like to train to win. Our first competition of the year was the first time we’ve won 1st place since I’ve been cheering and it was an amazing feeling. All the hard work had finally paid off. Competitions and performing with the people you call your family is actually one of the best feelings in the world."
Madison said she absolutely loves her team and she is so thankful for all the memories high school cheer has given her.
