Last night the Cougar basketball team had their first road action of the year as they traveled to RCB for a in section matchup. The game was tight and ugly throughout, with no very much scoring and good defense. The first half was back and forth but the Cougars were on top 22-21 going into the half. The third quarter was also back and forth but the cougars trailed by 2 going into the fourth, but Byrd began the 4th with a 7-0 run, and they didn’t look back. They would maintain the lead and take a 50-39 win over the cougars. Payton Hawkins had a double double with 11 points and 13 rebounds and Zach Snyder chipped in 8 points.
