5-6-7-8. The Danceline is Who We Appreciate.

One team who is known for catching the eye of the audience is the Lincoln High School danceline.

You can find them performing in front of the band at football games, and along side the band at basketball games, but you never really see them performing by themselves until March.

Some time in early March, they have a competition where they compete against other schools in the state.

With the competition season approaching, we asked a couple girls on the team for their opinions and feelings about the season so far.

Avery Riley, a sophomore, says “I am very excited to perform a hip hop routine with my team because hip hop is my favorite style of dance.”

This year the team is only performing one routine.

Alyssa Riley, a senior, says “Even though we are just in the midst of competition season, I am very excited to start working hard with the girls on my team and my coach, Kim, and choreographer, Meg.”

Kim Nuzum sacrifices a lot of her time to work with the members on the team.

Meg Reider spends her time perfecting the routines and helping the girls.

Lincoln High School is excited to see the danceline team’s results in a couple more months.
