Wednesday Night, the Lady Cougars hosted East Fairmont as the Student Section planned “Neon Night.” The girls were able to quickly dominate the Bees and keep them down. The Cougars moved their record to 7-1 as they won at a 24 point margin, 61-35. The JV Cougars were only able to play 2 quarters due to lack of players for East. Katie Martin, a Junior, had her first starting night of the season and was able to down 11 points for the night. She says, “I was happy to have a chance to prove myself and be a part of the starting lineup.” The Cougars are slowly rolling towards Charleston as they climb the Top 10. The girls travel to Phillip Barbour tonight to hopefully beat the Colts.
