Mrs. Beverage is a science teacher at Lincoln.
She started teaching because she really enjoyed biology in college.
“I thought it was interesting and found myself excited for some of the classes later on. I changed my major a few times and gravitated towards teaching. I like that I have control over what I teach and do on a daily basis. I also like that I can plan different activities and labs and get to work with different personalities on a daily basis. I like to think that I am making a difference and helping young minds even if just a little.”
She has been teaching for ten years and she has only ever taught at Lincoln.
Her favorite class to teach is WVU biology and anatomy because she likes the content and more students are motivated to learn and want to learn in those classes.
She graduated from West Virginia University, and while there, her favorite class was Animal Behavior because it was interesting to learn about all of the weird things animals do to survive.
Outside of school she likes to hang out with her family and she enjoys home decorating, running, and traveling.
