Many students decide to get a job in high school for many reasons. Whether that is to buy a car, help out their family, or save money for their own use. There are many places around that will hire students 15 and up, and many more that hire 16 and up. Students are unable to work in restaurants that serve alcohol, but there are still many other options to be able to waitress or work as a bus boy. After asking several students, many are employed at IHOP in Bridgeport, including; JR DeFazio, Katie Martin, Arianna Brennan, Jace Tracy and Alaina Bott. Several students stayed local and work at Jimmy’s Diner, like; Montana Riegel, Isaac Schell, Wesley Benson and Gracen McDonald. Other places that students work are McDonalds, Subway, Target, Burger King, Texas Roadhouse, Bdubs, Marshall’s and many more. Students are easily able to apply online or walk in to receive an application if they are interested. Part time jobs after school are a great way to prepare for the future.
