On January 15, the Lincoln boys' basketball team traveled to Liberty to take on the Mountaineers.
The Mountaineers shot 13 three-pointers during the game, but it wasn’t enough to defeat the Cougars.
Lincoln won 72-64, with guard Payton Moore scoring a team high of 18 points during the game.
Zach Snyder, also a guard, had 12 points and 5 assists,
Ryan Leep had 12 points and 10 rebounds to get the games only double double, and Payton Hawkins had 13 points for the game.
I asked Ryan Leep to describe the game and tell me what has to be don’t to be able to defeat a team like Liberty and keep your lead. Leep said, ”It was a rough game. They couldn’t miss. To keep a lead and win, you have to know the scouting report, know who’s who, and who can shoot and who can’t.”
With their win over Liberty, Lincoln moves to 10-2.
