I Teach Because...

Poet William Butler Yests once said, “Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.”

A student’s passion for education is often sparked by a teacher.

Teachers are often the inspiration students need to get through life.

Teachers have a big responsibility when it comes to the lives of their students. They put a lot on the line every day for their students. Not only do they take time out of their routines daily, they continuously worry and think about their students and how they can better their lives.

Teachers are very dedicated and don’t get the recognition they often deserve. What keeps them motivated? Why do teachers teach? We asked a mixture of teachers in our school. We were very curious.
