College Things!


Fairmont State University held an event for high school students looking to attend school there.

By being there, you received an opportunity scholarship valued up to $500 that helps defray the cost basic tuition and fees of attending Fairmont State.

President Mirta M. Martin, a first-generation college graduate herself, talked to the students about how college transformed her life.

They also have the opportunity to meet with the recruitment Staff and ask any questions they may have.

They also had educational booths set up for students to talk to an educator about the major they are interested in pursuing. The locations are below.

January 29-Closed-Walk Ins are Welcome- Grand Pointe Conference Center -- 1500 Grand Central Ave #118, Vienna WV -- 6:00 p.m. to 8 p.m.

February 4 Eleanor National Guard Armory -- 111 Army Navy Drive, Red House, WV 25168 -- 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m

February 11 Webster County High School-- 1 Highlander Drive, Cowen, WV 26206 -- 5:00pm-7:00pm

February 16 Musselman High School -- 126 Excellence Way, Inwood, WV 25428 -- 1:00 p.m. to 3 p.m

February 19 Wheeling Park High School -- 1976 Park View Rd, Wheeling, WV 26003 -- 6:00 p.m. to 8 p.m.
