Last Night, Lincoln hosted Braxton County for a regional matchup against the Eagles. This game was a ticket to states and the Lady Cougars were able to secure their way to Charleston next week with a 49-45 win. The girls had a strong lead at the half, 24-13, but the Eagles went on a run in the third quarter and caught back up. They stayed close the reminder of the game until the Cougars pulled away a little at the end. Brynne Williams led the game with 12 points, Katie Martin had 10 from the bench, Hannah Ferris added 9 and Victoria Sturm with 8. The girls moved their record to 21-3 and the 4th seed. They will play No. 5 Frankfort at 9 on Thursday night in Charleston at the Civic Center.
