The Lincoln High school track team traveled to the Ritchie County High School track for a meet on Tuesday. The girls’ team placed fourth overall and the boys placed sixth overall. Casey Stedman placed first in the 400 meter dash, and Faye Carroll placed fifth. Abbie Ash placed sixth in the 800 meter dash. The girls 4x1 team placed second, with runners Kaitlyn Bell, Katie Smith, Alaina Bott, and Casey Stedman. Our girls 4x4 placed third with runners Katie Smith, Kaitlyn Bell, Emma Marks, and Casey Stedman. Girls shuttles came in third with Katie Smith, Sydney McDougal, Skylee McCarthy, and Hailey Collins. Hailey Collins also came in fifth for long jump. For our boys, Moritz Thiel came in sixth in the 400 meter dash. The boys 4x1 team placed 4th with runners Davin Tate, Wyatt Howes, Jacob Parson, and Michael Earnest. The 4x2 team placed third with David Tate, Moritz Thiel, Jacob Parson, and Michael Earnest. Finally, their 4x4 placed sixth with David Tate, Jacob Parson, Michael Earnest, and Moritz Thiel as well.
