The Lincoln high school track team visited doddridge county on March 29th for the Doddridge County Invitational. On our girls team, Haylen Book placed 6th in the 100 meter dash and Casey Stedman placed 2nd in the 400 meter. Abbie Ash placed in two races, 5th in the 800 meter dash and 4th in the mile. The 4x1 placed 2nd, and the runners were Haylen Book, Kaitlyn Bell, Katie Smith, and Casey Stedman. The 4x2 placed 3rd with Alaina Bott, Kaitlyn Bell, Katie Smith, and Casey Stedman. The 4x4 race placed 2nd as well, and those runners were Casey Stedman, Kaitlyn Bell, Katie Smith, and Emma Marks. The girls shuttles placed second with Skylee McCarthy, Hailey Collins, Katie Smith, and Kaitlyn Bell. For the boys, Moritz Thiel placed 4th in the 400 and 5th in the 800. Steven Anton also placed in the 400 meter, coming in 5th place. Boys 4x1 placed 5th with Josh Webber, Davin Tate, Michael Earnest, and Jacob Parson. Their 4x2 placed first place with runners Davin Tate, Duncan Wilson, Jacob Parson, and Michael Earnest. The 4x4 placed 2nd with Steven Anton, Duncan Wilson, Moritz Thiel, and David Tate. 4x8 also placed 2nd with David Tate, Jacob Parson, Austin Prince, and Moritz Thiel. The boys shuttles came in 5th with David Tate, Duncan Fortney, Wyatt Howes, and Trey Lanham. Finally, Josh Webber placed 5th in high jump. Both teams placed 5th overall.
