The Lincoln Cougars could not have asked for a better start at undefeated Bridgeport.
Through three innings, the Cougars led 6-0 and Courtney Ramage had retired all nine Indian hitters that she faced.
And although Bridgeport rallied late, that start was enough, as Lincoln handed the Tribe their first loss of the season 6-3 at Bridgeport Middle School. Ramage held the Indians 11-1 to three runs on six hits with three strikeouts. The Cougars 13-4 have now won five straight and six of seven, the only blemish a walk-off loss at Philip Barbour.
